Leadership: The Reverend Jonathan T. Eden
The Reverend Jonathan T. Eden
Assistant Rector
Before coming to Christ Church, Cambridge, Jonathan spent two years in New York City as a Lilly Fellow at St. James' Church. This was his first assignment after being ordained to the Transitional Diaconate in Massachusetts in June, 2007. While at St. James' he was ordained to the Priesthood in Massachusetts in January, 2008. He is glad to be back in the Bay State and particularly at Christ Church, where he came on board as the Assistant Rector in August, 2009. At Christ Church, much of his time is spent with the children, youth and young adults of the Parish and the community that work with them. Jonathan's passion for youth ministry extends beyond the parish as a member of the Barbara C. Harris Camp and Conference Center board of directors and in coordinating youth events for the Alewife Deanery. He is also one of the Friends of the Cambridge Homes, a senior living facility in Cambridge.
Jonathan received his Masters of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School; this was after working at Boston College in the Development office and receiving an MBA from the Carroll School of Management there. He also received a BS in Geology from Bates College and enjoys traveling, cooking, kayaking and surfing and is currently lamenting his semi-retirement from Rugby after 15 years.
