Adult Formation Hour
Led by the clergy and others, the Adult Formation Hour meets on Sunday mornings at 9:00 in the Library. Over the course of the year, several multi-week sessions are offered, covering a range of topics. The subject areas are chosen to address one of the three core tenets of our Anglican heritage — Scripture, Tradition and Reason.
Ed Block II
Ed Block II presents educational programs on a variety of subjects against a background of faith. Offered on Sundays after the 10:15 service in the Library, discussion areas may be social, historical, or cultural in nature. All opinions and beliefs are welcome and invited.
Emmaus
The journey toward resurrection discipleship began on the road to Emmaus nearly two thousand years ago, but it continues with each one of us today. Emmaus is Christ Church's Young Adult ministry, serving graduate students and young professionals who seek to live ever deeper into the promises of our faith. Opportunities for fellowship and service are scheduled throughout the year. Join us on the journey!
Education for Ministry (EFM)
We are excited to begin offering the Education For Ministry Program at Christ Church Cambridge. Developed by the Episcopal Seminary at Sewanee TN, EFM is an intensive program that covers a wide range of theological topics over the course of four years. The scriptures, church history, liturgy and theology are studied in weekly seminars. EFM grants a certificate at the end of the program and 18 Units for Continuing Education for each year's work.
Adult Catechumenate
Each spring the clergy of the parish offer the opportunity for seekers, newcomers and life-long Episcopalians to gather weekly in exploration of our faith and tradition. Sometimes called an "Inquirer's Class," the Adult Catechumenate continues a practice dating from the early church that prepares individuals for baptism, reception into the Episcopal Church, renewal of Baptismal Vows, or simply a deepening of one's faith and understanding of our Christian community.
