Wednesday, April 21 deadline for cards and greetings for The Rev. Philip Newman

Posted on Sunday, April 18th, 2010

Retirement of The Rev. Philip Newman is being acknowledged by the CCC community. Many of us remember the pulpit exchange back in 1982, when the Rev. Philip Newman, along with his family, spent several months as Visiting Rector of Christ Church, and our own Rector, the Rev. W. Murray Kenney, went to Philip's pulpit in Melbourne, Australia. Philip is now retiring as Archdeacon for Christian Unity and Relations with the World's Religions for the Archdiocese of Melbourne, and those who wish have an opportunity to send their greetings. CCC will be overnighting a packet to Philip's sister-in-law in Chicago, who will carry it to the retirement festivities in Australia. If you would like to include a card or note, please get it to the Parish Office by 4:00 p.m. this Wednesday, April 21. Kindly take note that the Parish Office is closed this Monday in observance of Patriots Day.
